Physical Education
Physical Education develops a wide variety of motor skills, cardiovascular endurance, cardiovascular strengths, flexibility, teamwork, cooperative learning and knowledge of sports.

Here at Holy Family we help the students become well adjusted within their peer group, develop and maintain maximum physical efficiency to act in sociable useful ways, enjoy wholesome physical activities, to act in a sportsmanship like manner, to think, to remember, and to develop concepts relating to space, gravity, and force.

P.E. is taught in skill-based units: volleyball, flag football, basketball, soccer, physical fitness test and track. In between units we have lead-up games and skills test. The students are assigned active P.E. homework and graded on effort, attitude, participation and the ability of each individual child.

P.E. will be held indoors when it rains, snows, or the heat index is 95 degrees and above and when the wind chill factor is 32 degrees or below.

P.E. uniforms are required (refer to the student handbook for the correct dress codes) for 3rd through 8th grades.

P.E./Athletic Director: Coach Cecil Ruth
