| Coach Ruth holds a B.S. degree in Health, Physical Education and | |||
| Recreation from Florence State University. He also holds a Masters | |||
| in Physical Education from the University of Tennessee Knoxville | |||
| and an "AA" Teaching Certificate from the University of Alabama in | |||
| Tuscaloosa. Coach Ruth retired from Huntsville City Schools in June | |||
| 2001 and has been at Holy Family School since 2003. He loves college | |||
| football, basketball and traveling. His wife was an AP History teacher | |||
| at Grissom High before retiring in 2009 and he has two daughters who live in New York City. | |||
